Basketball Kingdom Illustrated is the magazine of the Kingdom Basketball Association site. It is published free, in full, with a printable PDF — and it never calls itself official. Data as of October 30, 2026.
Dear reader,
Some leagues get a group chat and a trophy emoji. This one gets a magazine.
The Kingdom Basketball Association is ten teams deep and four seasons old, and in that short life it has already produced a 17–1 champion, a back-to-back title run hidden under two different team names, an 0–18 season that deserves its own support group, and four consecutive drafts that all began with the same name: Nikola Jokić, taken first overall in 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 — by four different clubs.
This first issue of Basketball Kingdom Illustrated is built the way the league's site is built: every fact in it comes from a real pull of the league's own records — the Oct 30, 2026 ESPN snapshot of rosters, records and the Week 2 scoreboard; three full seasons of history; the 250-man value board the league trades on; and the league's own columns, radio show and cartoon. Where a number is a snapshot rather than a final, we say so on the page. Where a score is still being played, it is labelled in progress. We would rather print a smaller true thing than a bigger invented one.
Inside you will find a full page on each of the ten clubs, the complete draft and championship almanac, the trade board with the maths shown, the free-agent watch, the animated Kingdom and its radio voice, the games room, and a shop where every crest in this issue can be worn. The Week 2 preview may be out of date by the time you finish reading — that is the league's fault for being alive, and we have left the heartbeat on page 7 exactly as it stood on Friday: two unbeaten teams, 11.5 points apart.
One crown. Ten claimants. Turn the page.
— The Editors
Basketball Kingdom Illustrated, published on the Kingdom Basketball Association site.
Week 2 scores in this issue are in-progress totals from Friday, October 30, 2026. They are not finals, and nothing in these pages treats them as finals.
A fourth crown is on offer. The three men who own the first three are all still in the room.
The Kingdom Basketball Association plays head-to-head points under a league manager, ten teams in two conferences of five. The Kingdom Conference holds BOOM! Shockalotta, .... Rice and Beans, Team Ruah, Christ The King and CKING. The Dominion Conference holds The REAL Tribal Chief, 3Zilla Squad, Team Pup n' Suds, Team O'Connor and the Glizzy Gobblers.
The season opened with a draft on September 28, 2026 that followed the league's oldest tradition: Jokić first (Team Pup n' Suds), then Victor Wembanyama to the Glizzy Gobblers, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to Team O'Connor, Luka Dončić to Team Ruah and Giannis Antetokounmpo to the defending champions, The REAL Tribal Chief. Read the full first round on page 29.
Week 1 split the league cleanly in half — five winners, five losers, no draws, no mercy — and Week 2 arrived with the two storylines this issue keeps returning to: the champions look every inch a dynasty, and the league's most decorated owner, Reginald Crevecoeur of Team Ruah, is trying to win a week with his best player on injured reserve.
1. Can anyone stop the Chief? The REAL Tribal Chief went 17–1 last season and opened this one 1–0 with Giannis starting at centre. Dynasties are stopped by somebody, eventually. The fixture list has not yet introduced us to that somebody.
2. Does the Glizzy plan exist? The Gobblers hold the league's most imposing frontcourt on paper — and its most valuable player spent Week 1 on their bench while they lost. Page 47 investigates the most expensive bench in the Kingdom.
3. What is BOOM! when it grows up? The youngest roster in the league is 1–0 with two of its first six picks on IR. If this is the floor, the ceiling is a problem for everyone else.
Format and membership from the league's Oct 30, 2026 ESPN pull. Draft: snake, 17 rounds, 10 teams, Sept. 28, 2026.
Roster value plus 250 a win — the Kingdom's own power index, with the maths on the page.
The league's site keeps two honest ledgers. The Trade Board (page 32) values rosters and nothing else. The Power Rankings add the only other thing the site actually knows — the record — and price a win at 250 points of roster value: Power Index = roster value + 250 per win. Roster values come from the 250-man redraft board (Yahoo Sports Top 250, order as published) under the house model, 1000 × 0.987(rank−1). One week in, treat the gaps accordingly.

| 10 | Team Pup n' Suds | peter smith | 1-0 | 5,706.64 | 5,956.64 | Nikola Jokic (1,000.00) |
The board's first argument is right there at the top: .... Rice and Beans own the league's most valuable roster and a win, which buys them first place — while Team O'Connor, winless, sit second on the strength of the league's second-richest roster, and the defending champions start fourth. The board's second argument is at the bottom: Team Pup n' Suds hold the single most valuable player in fantasy basketball and the league's thinnest total around him. One superstar is a headline. Ten are a roster. The index has chosen its side.
Snapshot of Oct 30, 2026 (records after Week 1). The index is recomputed from each new ESPN pull — nothing here is a projection.
Five kings, five chasers, and one very expensive bench.
Adapted from the league site's Kingdom Columns (Week 1 review). Every fact from the Oct 30, 2026 ESPN pull — records, rosters, IR slots — and the league's draft recap.
The Kingdom's first week split cleanly down the middle: five teams opened 1–0, five opened 0–1, and nobody needed a tiebreaker to feel something about it.
Pup n' Suds drafted like a team that had read the ending. Nikola Jokić went 1.01, the wheel came back around for Devin Booker at 2.10 and Stephen Curry at 3.01, and Joel Embiid — the night's defining health gamble — fell all the way to 6.10. All four are already in the starting lineup, the Suds are 1–0, and the only entries on their injury report are the two men they drafted knowing the risk.
The youngest build in the league — Cade Cunningham at 1.06, then a run of rookies and sophomores — won anyway, with Paolo Banchero (3.06) and Chet Holmgren shelved and Tyrese Haliburton waiting on the bench. If this is what the Shockalotta look like shorthanded, the rest of the Kingdom should enjoy the next few weeks.
And then there is the Glizzy Gobblers riddle. On draft night they built the league's most imposing frontcourt: Wembanyama at 1.02, Alperen Şengün at 2.09, Karl-Anthony Towns at 3.02. One week in: Towns starts, Şengün is on IR — and Wembanyama is sitting on the bench while the Gobblers sit at 0–1.
Team Ruah lost their opener with Dončić (1.04) and Ivica Zubac both on IR — the league's cruellest Week 1 luck — while Christ The King also start 0–1 despite a starting five of Donovan Mitchell, Jayson Tatum (1.09) and Jaylen Brown, with Brandon Ingram parked on IR. The 1–0 club is rounded out by the Tribal Chief, 3Zilla Squad and .... Rice and Beans, unbeaten with LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Anthony Edwards even while Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jimmy Butler III occupy IR.
Two unbeaten collisions and an 11.5-point heartbeat.
Scores are the in-progress totals from the Oct 30, 2026 pull — the week is still being played. These are not finals, and nothing here pretends otherwise.
Start with the strangest scoreline in the Kingdom: Team Ruah 1,226.5, 3Zilla Squad 933.0. Ruah — winless, and playing without Dončić — have posted the highest total in the league this week. 3Zilla, unbeaten and rolling out Durant and Sabonis, are nearly 300 points behind a team whose best player is on IR. Fantasy basketball is a serious and dignified pursuit.
Two matchups pit 1–0 against 1–0. The REAL Tribal Chief lead Pup n' Suds 1,138.5 to 880.5 — the Jokić–Booker–Curry machine has ground to make up against Giannis and Brunson. And the week's heartbeat: .... Rice and Beans 954.0, BOOM! Shockalotta 942.5. Eleven and a half points between two unbeaten teams, one of which is missing Banchero and Holmgren. Somebody leaves this week perfect; somebody leaves with a story.
Elsewhere, the Glizzy Gobblers lead Team O'Connor 1,123.0 to 830.0 — a big week from the frontcourt, and a much-needed one — while Christ The King lead CKING 1,061.5 to 811.0 in the battle to escape the 0–1 half of the table.
Five unbeaten records entered Week 2. At most three can leave with one. The scoreboard, with every margin as it stood on Friday, is on page 9.
After Week 1 of the 2026–27 season — five perfect, five chasing, in both conferences.

The clean split is the story: every conference holds both unbeaten and winless clubs, and the league's richest roster (.... Rice and Beans, 7,184.36 of board value) sits in the Kingdom Conference while the defending champions anchor the Dominion. Records are after Week 1; Week 2 is in progress and will move every line on this page.
Records from the Oct 30, 2026 ESPN pull. Power Index = roster value + 250 per win (page 5). Order within each conference: wins, then power index.
Friday's numbers, frozen in print. The weekend has the final word.
IN PROGRESS These are the in-progress totals from the league's Oct 30, 2026 pull, scoring period 11 of the week. None of them is a final.

The league's highest Week 2 total belongs to its most famous winless team. Team Ruah, without Dončić, are outscoring everybody — and 3Zilla Squad, unbeaten and built around Durant and Sabonis, are the ones chasing them. At the other end of the drama scale, Rice and Beans and BOOM! Shockalotta are separated by less than a single player's quiet quarter.
Home/away as listed in the source pull. Records shown are after Week 1.

The defending champions opened the season the way they closed the last one: winning. Joel Garcia's club went 17–1 in 2025–26 — the finest record the Kingdom has ever produced — and beat 3Zilla Squad in the final, 3,842 to 3,601. This year's title defence is built on Giannis Antetokounmpo, taken 1.05 on draft night and already starting at centre, with Jalen Brunson at the point and James Harden and Jarrett Allen leading the league's most experienced bench.
Kawhi Leonard sits on IR — some traditions are sacred, as the site's Week 1 column put it. In Week 2 the Chief lead Pup n' Suds 1,138.5 to 880.5 in the champions-versus-Jokić showcase.

The youngest build in the Kingdom is already its best story. Dimitri Crevecoeur took Cade Cunningham at 1.06 (drafted under the club's old name, Team D) and then kept going back to the future: rookies and sophomores all the way down, with Tyrese Haliburton (2.05) waiting on the bench like a plot twist.
Paolo Banchero (3.06) and Chet Holmgren are both on IR, and BOOM! are 1–0 anyway. In Week 2 they trail Rice and Beans by 11.5 points — the heartbeat game on page 9.

Last season's runners-up have kept the core and the grudge. Tyler Richards' club went 12–6 in 2025–26 and lost the final by 241 points; the response was to draft Jalen Johnson at 1.07 and let Kevin Durant and Domantas Sabonis work UTIL shifts like the league's most overqualified utility men.
Jalen Duren and Robert Williams III hold the IR slots. Week 2 has started cruelly: 3Zilla trail winless Team Ruah by nearly 300 points despite Ruah missing Dončić.

Peter Smith drafted like a man who had read the ending. Jokić at 1.01 — the fourth straight year the league's draft opened with his name — then Booker at 2.10, Curry at 3.01, and the night's defining health gamble, Joel Embiid, all the way down at 6.10. All four start. The Suds are 1–0.
Kon Knueppel and Dereck Lively II sit on IR, the two risks they drafted with open eyes. But the power board (page 5) is blunt: the league's thinnest roster total surrounds its most valuable player. Week 2: trailing the champions by 258.

Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jimmy Butler III occupy IR, and Rice and Beans are unbeaten anyway. Week 2's heartbeat game is theirs: 954.0 to BOOM!'s 942.5, two perfect records, 11.5 points.

Mario Jean built the league's most imposing frontcourt on draft night — Wembanyama at 1.02, Şengün at 2.09, Towns at 3.02 — a season after taking this same club to the 2024–25 final. The Gobblers' history says contender. Their Week 1 said something else entirely.
Şengün is on IR (with Keegan Murray), Towns starts — and Wembanyama, board No. 4 in the whole game, spent Week 1 on the bench while Glizzy lost. Week 2 opened with a 293-point lead over O'Connor. The plan, if it is a plan, is working now. Page 47 has the full investigation.

Owner: Kevin Duffy (yankskd) 0–1
The commissioner's own club — and in this league, that buys you nothing. Kevin Duffy's team, renamed from Duffy Buckets (fourth in 2025–26 at 11–7, and never worse than sixth in three seasons), is built on the league's most decorated wing rotation: Jayson Tatum at 1.09, Donovan Mitchell at the point, Jaylen Brown beside them.
Brandon Ingram and Maxime Raynaud hold the IR slots. The quiet headline is at power forward: rookie Yaxel Lendeborg, who leads the entire Rookie Watch board (page 22) with 243.0 all-games points. Week 2: leading CKING by 250.5.

The league's most consistent nearly-men. Luke O'Connor's club has finished second (2023–24), third (2024–25) and third (2025–26) — a podium every single season, a crown in none of them. This year's bid pairs Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (1.03) with Evan Mobley and the second-richest roster in the Kingdom.
Tobias Harris and Oso Ighodaro are the IR pair. The power board ranks O'Connor second in the league despite the 0–1 start — the only winless club the maths refuses to worry about. Week 2, though, they trail Glizzy by 293.

Chris Kersaint's club arrives under its fourth identity in four seasons — Brooklyn Knights in 2023–24, a Tribal Chief of his own in 2024–25, The OTC last year — and with the draft night's final first-round pick already a headline: Cooper Flagg at 1.10, taken when the club was still called Austin 3:16, with Bam Adebayo anchoring centre.
CKING are the only club in the league carrying no one on IR — both slots stood empty in the Oct 30 pull. Health is their headline and their hope: Week 2 finds them 250.5 points behind Christ The King in the battle of the 0–1s.

Three of the Kingdom's best storylines live in this band. Tyrese Haliburton (No. 11) waits on BOOM! Shockalotta's bench while the kids win without him. Cooper Flagg (No. 12) is the prize of CKING's rebuild-by-renaming. And Alperen Şengün (No. 13) holds an IR slot for the Glizzy Gobblers — one more reason their frontcourt is a topic of national conversation on page 47. Note the gap maths: the fall from No. 11 (877.35) to No. 25 is the steepest stretch of the board's curve — the model prices scarcity, and the top of the draft is where it lives.
Same board, same model, same snapshot as page 20.

Reginald Crevecoeur's clubs won the first two championships under two different names — Team Reds% in 2023–24 and Team Ruah in 2024–25 — before The REAL Tribal Chief's 17–1 run took the 2025–26 crown. Three seasons, three finals, and one constant: the road to the crown has run through the Crevecoeur family tree every single year — Reginald owns two titles, and Dimitri Crevecoeur's BOOM! Shockalotta are this season's youngest pretenders (his clubs, as Team D, finished seventh in two of the three seasons covered here).
The next three pages are the full record: final standings for every completed season, all ten clubs, exactly as ESPN's calculated final ranks left them. A fourth season, 2022–23, exists at the head of ESPN's chain; it has not been pulled yet, and this almanac prints nothing for it rather than guess.
Final order is ESPN's rankCalculatedFinal, cross-checked against each season's championship final. Records are overall records (18 games a season).

Team Reds% (13–5) beat Team O'Connor (14–4) in the final, 4,379.5 to 3,812 — the regular season's best record lost the game that mattered, a Kingdom tradition in the making. Crevecoeur again, under a new flag: Team Ruah went 16–2 and beat the Glizzy Gobblers in the final, 4,480.5 to 4,048.5 — the highest-scoring final in this almanac. The draft (Monday, October 21, 2024) put Jokić first overall for a second straight year, this time to Glizzy, who rode him to the final and lost it to the man who drafted fourth. O'Connor's 13–5 earned only third — the podium-without-a-crown era had begun.

Four straight years, the same first name called. Jokić's streak is the league's founding ritual — and this year the wheel kept turning: Pup n' Suds came back for Booker (2.10) and Curry (3.01), the champions took Giannis home at 1.05, and the last pick of the round, Cooper Flagg, went to a club that has since changed its name twice over in spirit and once in fact.
Since draft night, Team D has become BOOM! Shockalotta, Duffy Buckets has become Christ The King, and Austin 3:16 has become CKING — matched by their current rosters. From the league's own draft recap.
The pulled record: 2023, 2024 and 2025, round 1 in full — later rounds were not pulled and are not shown.

Read the first pick of each draft top to bottom: Jokić, Jokić, Jokić. The streak — and what it did and didn't buy — is the closest thing this league has to a founding myth.
The house model, in the open — because a trade board you can't audit is just an opinion with a table.
Every value in this magazine comes from the same two ingredients. First, an order: the Yahoo Sports Top 250 for points leagues, verbatim, as published on October 16, 2026. Second, a curve: the house model used across the league's sites, value = 1000 × 0.987(rank−1). Rank 1 is worth 1,000. Each rank down multiplies by 0.987 — a slow decay that prices superstardom steeply and depth gently.

The fairness band. The site's trade calculator calls a deal fair when the two sides land within ±5% of each other. Outside the band, it names the heavier side and the gap — it does not negotiate, flatter, or invent a "win" for anyone.
What a value is not. It is not a projection, a guarantee, or a price anyone must accept. It is a common language: when the Trade Board on the next page says Rice and Beans' roster is worth 7,184.36, every other club can check the arithmetic from this page.
The honest gaps. Of 187 rostered players, 179 are on the 250 board and carry values. Eight are not on the board and carry no value — never a guessed one. They are named in full on page 33.
Every roster in the Kingdom, priced the same way. Disagree with the order — the maths is on page 31.

Unlike the power board (page 5), this table ignores the standings — and it still puts .... Rice and Beans first, which is why their 1–0 start worries people. The board's coldest take is at the bottom: the champions, The REAL Tribal Chief, price only fourth by roster value. They were priced fifth-ish last year too, right up until they went 17–1. The board measures rosters. The Chief keep measuring banners.
179 of 187 rostered players are on the board and valued; the rest carry no value — never a guessed one. Snapshot: Oct 30, 2026.

The wire's headline is Jalen Williams at board No. 48 — a top-50 player unclaimed in a ten-team league, which says less about Williams than about how deep this league drafts. Below him the board thins quickly: by No. 150 the best available name is worth about a seventh of the man at the top of this page. In a league where every contender's IR is full, the wire is not a strategy. It is a lottery ticket with better lighting.
Free agents = players on the 250 board on NO Kingdom roster (joined on names against the Oct 30, 2026 pull); 71 available in total. Rostered but not on the board, and so carrying no value anywhere in this issue: Aaron Wiggins, Derrick Jones Jr., Ja'Kobe Walter, Keon Ellis, Matisse Thybulle, Mo Bamba, Obi Toppin, Trevon Brazile.
Ten teams, ten characters, one throne hall — the Kingdom, drawn.
The league has a cartoon. The 62-second season intro — live on the site's Watch page — opens in a throne hall: a title beat, all ten teams introduced with their owners, and a closing crown card. The full first episode, Episode 1 — “The Drafting of the Crowns” (6 minutes 6 seconds), has premiered on the site's Watch and Media pages: draft night, with all ten first-round picks in order, and Week 1 in the Royal Ward, dialogue in every scene — and the series runs all season from there. What follows is what the intro itself shows — this magazine does not invent cartoon business beyond what has aired.
The cast is the league: a crowned tribal chief for the champions; BOOM!'s exploding starburst; 3Zilla's great green lizard; the Pup n' Suds puppy in his bubble bath; a steaming bowl for Rice and Beans; the Glizzy turkey in sunglasses; O'Connor's plumed knight; CKING's crowned chess king; the wind rider of Team Ruah; and at the centre, Christ The King himself — a white king in purple and gold, drawn to his owner's own specification, as are Team Ruah's Black wind rider, CKING and BOOM! Shockalotta's Dimitri Crevecoeur, all rendered as their owners ruled.
Christ The King · Team Ruah · CKING · BOOM! Shockalotta — character crests, as they appear in the show and the shop.
The full cast of characters, with every club's crest, is gathered on page 45. Episodes live on the site's Watch and Media pages, free to view — the same rule as everything else in the Kingdom.
A weekly radio show and an original theme — both made for this league, both free on the site.
The league snapshot is unchanged since Episode 1, so Week 2 is still in progress as of Friday — Kingdom Radio leans on three seasons of history and the current NBA scoring race instead of inventing a single result.
Kingdom Radio's newest episode runs 6 minutes 34 seconds, narrated in the League Minute style — every fact from the site's own data, with the as-of date stated on the show: All league data as of Oct 30, 2026 (pulled via the commissioner's signed-in ESPN session). The snapshot is unchanged since Episode 1. Week 2 scores are in progress as of Friday, Oct 30, 2026 — not finals. Seven segments:

The station opened with Episode 1 — Week 1 in the Books, Week 2 on the Throne Watch (5 minutes 47 seconds); both episodes live on the site's Radio and Media pages. A new episode and a fresh theme cut are produced weekly; past themes stay in the jukebox. The current theme is Long Live the Kingdom — Kingdom Theme No. 2 — Theme No. 1, “One Crown”, is archived there, and its full lyric is printed on page 49.
The card game of the Kingdom — your deck against the machine.
Top Kingdom is the league's card battler, playable free on the site's Games page: a 48-card deck built from the Kingdom's own player pool, played head-to-head against the CPU. Each card carries its player's board value and board rank — and the tactics live in the tension between them, because the two stats pull in opposite directions: value plays high (the bigger number wins the trick) while rank plays low (the smaller number wins). Call the wrong stat on the wrong card and the league's best player becomes a liability; read the deck right and a mid-board name steals the hand.
The deck is not decoration. It is priced off the same 250 board as everything else in this issue — the values on the cards are the values on pages 20 and 21, so the games room doubles as the slyest way in the Kingdom to learn the trade board by heart.
Three-Point Shootout, Free-Throw Frenzy and Around the World — the canvas shooting trio — plus the Physics Arena, the biomechanical simulation sandbox. All free, all in the browser, all on the Games page.
Games as listed on the Kingdom site's Games page, October 2026.
Ten league members. One track. The crown, at speed.

The Kingdom Grand Prix takes the racing idea the Invitational made its own — the Hardwood Grand Prix — and recasts it with the Kingdom's own grid: all ten league members, in character, racing as themselves. The crowned king, the wind rider, the tribal chief, the lizard, the turkey, the puppy, the knight, the chess king, the bowl and the starburst — the same cast as page 45, at racing speed.
It is, the editors concede, the only competition in this issue where Christ The King and Team Ruah can settle their Week 2 argument at 200 kilometres an hour instead of at the free-throw line. The Grand Prix lives in the site's Games room alongside Top Kingdom and the arcade trio.
Grid from the Kingdom Grand Prix build in the league tree: the ten team names of the Oct 30, 2026 ESPN pull. Character rulings per page 34.

The shop's rules are the same as every shop in this family of sites: a product exists only if a supplier blank backs it (SPOD / Spreadconnect, printed to order), the displayed price is the charged price, US shipping addresses are collected at checkout with no shipping fee added, and tax is automatic. No product in these two pages lacks a supplier — and the quarter-zips and gear that couldn't meet that standard were never listed.
These two pages are a selection, not the whole shop: the full range runs to 39 products — every club's character in badge, monogram and wordmark editions, plus this league line in standard, wordmark and icon cuts. Every product page in the site's Shop carries size and colour pickers and its own Stripe checkout for the exact variant chosen.

The arithmetic of a week still being played — all of it from Friday's pull, none of it final.

Two of the five games are unbeaten-against-unbeaten, which is why at most three perfect records survive the weekend. The week's strangest number remains its first: the highest score (1,226.5) belongs to the only leader who entered the week winless, and the second-highest (1,138.5) belongs to the defending champions, who are beating the team with the best player in the world by 258 points and counting.
All scores in progress as of Friday, October 30, 2026. Margins computed from the pulled totals; home/away as listed in the source.

A note on the top line: 17–1 was not a soft 17–1. The Chief paired it with the most points in their season and won the final — the complete season, wire to wire. And a note on the second: the BloodHounds' 0–18 came in the same season as the league's highest points total by a champion. The Kingdom has always contained both stories at once.

Read this page next to the standings and the whole season explains itself. The unbeaten BOOM! are missing two top-six picks. Winless Ruah are missing the No. 2 player in fantasy basketball — and outscoring the league anyway. The champions are missing Kawhi Leonard, which by now qualifies as a load-bearing tradition. And CKING, the only club with an empty shelf, are the ones still looking for a win: in the Kingdom, health is not the same thing as form, and this page is the proof in both directions.
IR slots exactly as listed in the Oct 30, 2026 roster pull. CKING's two IR slots and the other empty slots noted in the source are shown as none.
BOOM!, Rice and Beans, Ruah, Christ The King, CKING — the crown's own half of the map.

The Kingdom Conference holds the league's richest roster (Rice and Beans), its most decorated owner (Ruah's Reginald Crevecoeur, two crowns), its youngest build (BOOM!) and its two 0–1 clubs with the most reason for optimism (Christ The King's Rookie Watch leader; CKING's clean bill of health). Its Week 2 internal affairs — Rice vs BOOM!, Christ The King vs CKING — will redraw this page by Monday.
The champions' half: the Chief, the finalists, the nearly-men, the riddle and the 1.01 club.

The Dominion Conference is where the trophies currently live: the defending champions (Tribal Chief), last season's finalists (3Zilla), the league's eternal podium club (O'Connor), the draft's 1.01 (Pup n' Suds) and its most argued-about bench (Glizzy). Four of its five clubs have played in a final or finished on a podium in the three recorded seasons. The Kingdom Conference has the future; the Dominion, for now, has the furniture.
The ten faces of the cartoon, the Grand Prix grid and the shop — one crest per club, drawn for this league.

Character crests by the league's logo studio pass (October 2026): one flat-vector badge family, no real team marks, each club's character as its owner ruled. These same crests appear on the cover, the team pages, the shop tees (pages 38–39) and the site's header art.

The league. Kingdom Basketball Association — ESPN league 1227546734, played since 2023 (the site keeps the Kingdom name; ESPN's internal settings name for the league is "Fantasy Basketball Association"). League Manager format, head-to-head points, ten teams, two conferences. The commissioner's club is Christ The King — which, as page 19 notes, buys him nothing.
The site. Standings, scoreboard, ten team pages, the NBA desk (rankings, leaders, injuries, rookie watch), the columns, the front office, the draft hub, the almanac, the cartoon, the radio, the games room, the lab and the shop — all free, all at the Kingdom Basketball Association site.
Owners and handles from the Oct 30, 2026 ESPN pull. Records after Week 1.
On star power in street clothes — and the league's strangest Week 1 decision.
Every league has a bench. The Kingdom has a bench with a payroll.
Start with the riddle the site's own Week 1 column could not leave alone. The Glizzy Gobblers drafted the most imposing frontcourt in the league — Wembanyama at 1.02, Şengün at 2.09, Towns at 3.02. One week later: Towns starts, Şengün sits on injured reserve, and Wembanyama — the No. 4 player on the entire 250 board, worth 961.50 — spent opening week on the bench of a team that lost. The column's verdict is printed on page 6 and does not improve with repetition, though it bears it: there may be a plan; from the outside, the plan is indistinguishable from a cry for help.
Glizzy are not even the extreme case; they are merely the voluntary one. BOOM! Shockalotta won their opener with Banchero and Holmgren — two of their first six picks — on IR and Haliburton, the board's No. 11, waiting on the bench by design. Team Ruah lost with Dončić (No. 2 overall) and Zubac shelved, then scored more than anyone in Week 2 anyway. Rice and Beans are unbeaten with Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jimmy Butler III on IR. The champions keep Kawhi there like a family heirloom.
Add the Kingdom's IR shelves together (page 42) and you could field a starting five that would start the season among the power board's top half. That is the league's real depth chart: ten rosters on the floor, and an eleventh, invisible one in street clothes — biding its time, healing its hamstrings, and quietly deciding this season from the bench.
All statuses and slots from the Oct 30, 2026 pull; values from the board (page 31). Week 2 update: the Glizzy plan, whatever it is, produced a 293-point lead over O'Connor by Friday.
Sources, methods, and the rules this issue set itself.
League data. Kingdom Basketball Association facts — teams, owners, records, rosters, Week 2 scores — come from a single source: the league's ESPN pull of October 30, 2026, taken through the commissioner's signed-in session, read-only. Week 2 scores are in-progress totals and are labelled as such wherever they appear.
History. The three completed seasons (2023–24, 2024–25, 2025–26) were pulled the same day: final standings, champions verified against each season's final, and each draft's first round. Later draft rounds were not pulled and are not printed. A 2022–23 season exists in ESPN's chain; it has not been pulled, and this issue prints nothing for it.
Values. Player values use the house model (1000 × 0.987(rank−1)) over the Yahoo Sports Top 250 for points leagues, order as published October 16, 2026 — the same board the league site trades on. Eight rostered players are not on that board; they carry no value anywhere in this issue and are named on page 33. NBA leaders and the rookie board are the Invitational site's desk data, as carried on the Kingdom site, with their bases stated on pages 22–24.
Words. Columns quoted in these pages are quoted from the league site's Kingdom Columns, verbatim and attributed. Everything else is this magazine's own editorial copy, written from the facts above. No quote in this issue is attributed to any real person except the league's own published columns and radio show. No score, award, or transaction has been invented.
The magazine. Basketball Kingdom Illustrated, Issue 1, October 2026. Fifty pages. Published free in full on the Kingdom Basketball Association site, with this printable PDF. It is a fan publication of the league's own site and never calls itself official. Crests and character art are original works made for the league; no real team or league marks appear in it.
The Kingdom theme — Theme No. 1, in full. An original work, written and produced for this league.

Music: an original synthesized royal backing (I–V–vi–IV in C major) with the house narrator chanting the league and all ten team names. Hear it — and every weekly theme after it — in the jukebox on the site's Radio page. Display names are printed as the clubs style them; the chant's spoken forms live in the lyric sheet in the league's radio archive.
The Kingdom plays on: standings, columns, the cartoon, the radio, the games room and the shop — all free, all season, on the Kingdom Basketball Association site.
Week 2's results — printed when they are final, never before. The cartoon's next episode, as the series runs on all season. A new Kingdom Radio episode and a fresh theme, as the station cuts them every week. And the Power Board and the Trade Board, refreshed as the Kingdom moves.
The cartoon — Episode 1, “The Drafting of the Crowns,” premiered on the Watch page.
Kingdom Radio — Episodes 1 and 2 and the theme jukebox, on the Radio page.
Top Kingdom and the Kingdom Grand Prix, in the games room.
