The Arcade ยท Virtual Reality
Step to the line in the Invitational arena and shoot a round of 10 free throws. Built for a WebXR headset โ and fully playable right here as a non-VR 3D preview.
๐๏ธ Non-VR preview extras โ these extras are for this flat preview only; VR mode in a headset is unchanged, and VR still needs a headset.
Checking for WebXRโฆ
In VR (WebXR headset, e.g. Quest): squeeze a trigger to grab the ball, throw overhand and release the trigger to let it fly โ your hand sets the speed and arc. No controllers? Look at the hoop, hold the headset's main button to charge, and release to shoot.
Non-VR 3D preview (phone / desktop): drag to aim, hold the orange button (or hold Space) to charge the power meter, and release to shoot. The dotted line previews your arc.
More preview extras (non-VR only): leave the page alone and an attract-mode demo plays by itself โ the game's own shooter takes real shots while the camera slowly orbits the arena; touch, click or press any key to take over. Switch cameras (Broadcast, Baseline, Behind the Glass, or the free Aim view) any time, even mid-shot. Practice mode drops the 10-shot limit and keeps a running makes / attempts / points tally, from the free-throw line or from three-point range (a made three counts 3). The standard Round of 10 stays the default.
Honest note: this is a v1 prototype. The preview mode is fully playable and tested; VR mode follows the WebXR standard but has not been headset-tested yet โ your headset is the final test. Scores are just for the round โ no leaderboard (yet).
